Electrical Aggregation

Electric Aggregation
An Opportunity to Seek Lower Electric Bills

The Village's Electrical Aggregation Program with Homefield Energy will expire in October 2017.  The 17 municipalities of the Will County Aggregation Group (WEAG), which includes Lemont, have selected Homefield Energy as the new electric supplier for these communities.  This is a renewal of the current WEAG program that began in 2012 and has saved residents over $25.5 million to date.  The WEAG communities represent just over 323,000 residents.  These communities consist of:

Beecher            Bolingbrook       Braidwood          Channahon           Coal City           Crete
Elwood              Frankfort            Homer Glen        Lemont                  Lockport           Peotone
Plainfield          Rockdale             Romeoville         Shorewood           Woodridge

The WEAG negotiated a 36 month rate that averages $.06950/kWh ($.06996/kWh for the first 24 months and $.06850 for months 24-36) on behalf of its residents and small businesses.  There is no early termination fee associated with this program.

Village of Lemont residents can opt-in the program at any time during the term of the agreement.  To enroll in the Village of Lemont program, call  Homefield Energy - 866-694-1262.

Residents and small businesses may receive solicitations from time to time from other suppliers to switch their account.  If a notice is not explicitly marked as being from The Village of Lemont, Homefield Energy, or Commonwealth Edison, customers should assume it is not connected to the Village's electrical aggregation program.
