“Cop on a Rooftop” 2019
 Special Thank You

On behalf of the Special Olympians, their families and the members of the Lemont Police Department, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your generosity and support in helping make this year’s "Cop on a Rooftop" a huge success.  The generosity of the community members, volunteers and businesses was overwhelming!  Due to their efforts, we were able to raise a total of $13,025.04 benefiting Special Olympics-Illinois!

This year marked the 17th annual “Cop on a Rooftop” event which took place at the two Lemont Dunkin locations. Nearly 300 locations across Illinois participated in this event.  You may have seen our officers, staff, and volunteers collecting money for Special Olympics-Illinois!

I was overwhelmed by the generosity of so many.  I would like to thank everyone who donated to this worthwhile cause.  Each and every donation helped the Lemont Police Department meet its goal. You are proof that together we can make a difference!

I would like to thank the police officers, staff, and volunteers for assisting with this event.  Our appreciation also goes to B-96 WBBM-FM Radio, and the staff of both Lemont Dunkin locations for making this the best year yet!

A special thanks to Mayor John Egofske, and the Lemont Village Trustees, the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association, Lemont Public Works, Terri O’Neil from Hope & Friendship and Dunkin Corporation.

If you would like to donate to the Special Olympics Torch Run, please contact the Lemont Police Department at 630-257-2229.  All proceeds will support Illinois Special Olympics.

Again, THANK YOU LEMONT for your support and generosity!

Sincerely,
