We're "Lighting Up Lemont" with Hometown Holiday!  These beautiful holiday lights will illuminate Lemont all season long!  Get ready to kick off your holiday season in Lemont and Enjoy ouHoliday Scene. . .

Come and take a stroll all around our historic downtown. Our illuminated holiday decoration display includes a fun twist for the entire family this year! Loomie, an augmented reality app, features interactive games to play and allows users to create unique photos and holiday cards in seconds.

Our holiday season begins with our Hometown Holiday event in historic downtown Lemont on Saturday, December 7, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  We will be "Lighting Up Lemont" with our dazzling light display sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association and the Village of Lemont throughout the entire season!

Hometown Holiday Outdoor / Indoor Activities

  • Enjoy our illuminated light display sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association and the Village of Lemont. This display will remain illuminated all season long for your enjoyment!
  • Play with Loomie, an augmented reality app.  Take selfies and play games with the Loomie app, and make some memories along the way!  Loomie is free and is downloadable for Android or iOS on the applicable app stores.
  • Tractors for Toys will be picking up toys at Target/Kohls and in front of Pete's Market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the day on Saturday, December 7, with their final destination being Hometown Holiday in downtown Lemont, arriving around 4:45 p.m. 0with a very special Tractor Parade, arriving with Santa on the Antique Fire Truck.  All toys collected stay in Lemont and are delivered locally to children in need. 
  • Tree Decorating (Various Community Organizations - Advance Registration Required)
  • Dine at any one of the fine restaurants located in historic downtown Lemont
  • Stop in at Bethany Lutheran's Giving Tree Forest anytime on Saturday, December 7, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., 500 Lemont Street, to enjoy an enchanting Christmas Tree Forest and enjoy some songs of the season! In the spirit of the season, they will be accepting donations for the Open Pantry and Senior Citizens in our community, including non-perishable food, $5 gift cards, manicure items, white crew sock, cardigan sweaters, etc.  For more information on the Giving Tree Forest, call (630) 247-7953.
