Village of Lemont Construction Projects Update

Lane Closure Alert: Derby Road Bridge repairs project was started on Wednesday,  July 23rd.  Derby Road will remain open, however, will only be one lane of traffic with temporary signals controlling traffic.  The project is anticipated to take approximately 1 month.  Please use alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.  Watch for construction workers and road signs.

Lane Closure Alert: 127th Street Pedestrian Crossing project is complete.

2025 Resurfacing project is complete.  

2025 Water Main Replacement Project anticipated start date of September/October.

• Lining Young Street from Country Lane to Janas Lane
• Illinois Street from Grant Street to Julia Street
• Logan Street from Czacki Street to East Street
• Forest Lane and Keepataw Court

Lead Service Line Replacement Project - Phase 1 is tentatively scheduled to start mid-August, 2025. 

Front Street Parking Garage repairs project have started and will last approximately 2 weeks.

Hazardous Sidewalk replacement project tentative start date early August.

Stephen Street retaining wall project is in progress by waiting for ComEd work to be completed.

Derby Road salt storage dome should be completed mid-November.
