Village of Lemont Lead Service Line Replacement Project - Phase 1

The Village of Lemont Lead Service Line Replacement Project Phase 1 is tentatively scheduled to start mid-August, 2025.  This project is being wholly funded by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's (IEPA) Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) Loan and will have an interest rate of 0% over a loan term of 30 years.  Phase 1 will consist of the replacement of 35 lead service lines on the private side of the b-box with copper service lines, including connections to the existing water meters in the residences, connections to the existing b-box, sidewalk removal and replacement, and all appurtenant construction.  The Village is removing the lead service lines to reduce exposure to lead in drinking water.
