Village of Lemont Licensing - New to Lemont? Download our Lemont New Business packet, a step-by-step guide to your grand opening! All permits and licenses are now completed through our online portal.  All businesses, whether licensed by the state or not, must have an initial Certificate of Occupancy issued by the Building Division. Following an approved occupancy, complete the annual business license application. A home-based business does not need a separate occupancy permit and should apply directly for through the home occupation license application. All licenses are renewed annually. 

Downtown Resident Permit Parking - This permit allows you to park in excess of the posted parking time limits in the following locations: Front Street Lofts Parking Garage Upper Levels (310 River Road). Vehicles with a valid permit hangtag may park in "non-reserved spaces" on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th level of the parking garage. Please note, "reserved" parking spaces are for Front Street Loft residents only.

Special Event Licensing -  All permits and licenses are now completed through our online portal.  If you have any questions about whether your proposed event requires a permit, please contact our Special Events Coordinator, Julie Thomas at JThomas@lemont.il.us for more information regarding special events prior to submitting an application.

Solicitor's Permit/Registration - Registration is required. For further information on requirements for registering as a solicitor in the Village of Lemont, please call the Lemont Police Department (630) 257-2229.

IL Department of Revenue - All businesses must register with the IL Department of Revenue. This link to the Department's business page includes an online business registration application.

IL Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - Certain occupations, due to their profession, are required to be licensed by the state of Illinois. The Department of Financial & Professional Regulation site includes a complete list of regulated professions and licensure requirements for each.
