The 34th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade & Party will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Historic Downtown Lemont. Details are subject to change but you can preview the event below.
NOMINATION INFORMATION FOR KING AND/OR QUEEN
REGISTRATION FOR PARADE ENTRY
We are seeking nominations for Queen and King of the St. Patrick's Day Parade to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026. This contest is open to Lemont residents, high school juniors through second year college students, preferably of Irish heritage. The candidates must demonstrate an active involvement in school service organizations, and/or community service activities.
To nominate someone for either role, or to register your group for the parade, please utilize the appropriate link(s) below. For the purpose of nominating someone for King or Queen, you will be asked to write a few paragraphs within our form demonstrating why the person you are nominating is deserving of this honor. Please include their commitment to school and community services, and what they have contributed to that makes a difference in our community and beyond. Submission forms are due by February 4, 2026 and the winner will be notified by phone. If chosen, candidate must be available on Saturday, March 7, 2026 to participate in the parade from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you have questions, please reach out to Julie Thomas, Event Specialist, jthomas@lemont.il.us.
Follow the links below to nominate someone for King or Queen, and/or to register your group for this year's parade. The deadline for nominations is February 4, 2026, and the deadline to register to participate in the parade is February 16, 2026.

The parade begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2026. The route begins on north Stephen Street, and heads west on Main Street.
Crowning of the St. Patrick's Day Queen and King is held at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Stephen Street near the I&M Canal Bridge.
The Party begins at 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and includes west Main Street, Legion Park (111 Main Street) and the VFW.
Stockyard Kilty Band will open the Party and Irish Dancers perform at the Legion Park gazebo. (VFW if inclement weather.)

No Parking along parade route and party area:
- Stephen Street between Front Street and Main Street from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Front Street from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Main Street from Stephen Street to Barrel & Vine from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- West end of Main Street along Legion Park (111 Main Street) - from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Street Closures - Streets will be opened when it is safe to do so:
- Stephen Street between Front Street and Main Street from 12:00 p.m. until cleared - approximately 2:00 p.m.
- Canal Street between Stephen Street and Lemont Street from 12:00 p.m. until cleared - approximately 2:00 p.m.
- Front Street will only be accessible to parade participants with vehicles and vehicles with walkers and then open to traffic approximately 2:00 p.m.
- River Street at Stephen Street will have no access onto Stephen Street after street closure at 12:00 p.m.
- Main Street, west end, at Legion Park (111 Main Street) from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Main Street from Stephen Street to Barrel & Vine will close at approximately 12:50 p.m. for the parade until cleared.
